Renewable power-assisted grid-backup systems (UPS)

The following figure shows how a power shift toward a greater percentage of renewable energy can be achieved by upgrading the battery-backup system. During peak demands or when renewable energy sources are unable to supply sufficient energy to the loads, a generator or the national grid can be used to supply the balance or charge the batteries if so specified.
